Access Lock Specialists is owned by Roger
Barriball and Richard Nind, and was built on the foundations
of Access Locksmiths which has traded in Canterbury for
over 35 years as a mobile service. Both Richard & Roger
have extensive experience in the locksmith industry and
offer a complete service covering residential, commercial,
automotive and safes, with a focus on excellent customer
service. Currently there are two vans on the road, operating
from a modern workshop/showroom at 170 Waterloo Rd, Hornby
and serving Christchurch and Canterbury. With excellent
off street parking, the facilities enable virtually any
job to be handled that comes in, from duplicating standard
keys, cutting high security vehicle keys to code, programming
automotive transponder keys, servicing locks & safes
and creating restricted master key systems.

Roger Barriball – Owner. Roger has been involved in locksmithing
for 20 years after serving 13 years in the RNZAF. Commencing
with Blythe’s Security Services in Pukekohe, installing
alarms and locksmithing, he established Franklin Locksmiths
in 1992 until moving to Christchurch in 1995 where he joined
Ross Galt Lock & Key Service. Serving as Operations
Manager, he was also involved as Secretary of the Australia & New
Zealand Locksmiths Association and later, Secretary of
the New Zealand Branch of the Master Locksmiths Association
of Australasia. Roger is also a director of LockTech Training,
a new training organisation for locksmiths. Roger runs
the Administration & Marketing side of the business. |

Richard Nind – Owner. Richard has been locksmithing for
25 years. He completed his apprenticeship with James Bull
Locksmiths. After a stint of locksmithing in Brisbane,
he returned to NZ and joined Ross Galt Lock & Key Service,
where he served as Workshop Manager until leaving to purchase
Access Locksmiths in February 2006. Richard is a Trade
Tester for the Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia
and also an Apprentice Assessor. Richard runs the Operations
side of the business and is very much ‘hands on’ working
from his van or the workshop. |

Mark Ellis – Senior Locksmith. Mark completed a carpenter’s
trade certificate & advanced trade certificate and
worked with Lunney’s & Armitage Williams before changing
fields and joining Ross Galt Lock & Key Service in
1990. Mark worked as a mobile locksmith specialising
in; safes and general locksmithing and brings a wealth
of experience with him.
Mark carries out lock installations,
lock and safe repairs, lockouts, and security surveys. |
